Frequently Asked Questions
1. Where are the classes held?
The Jazzie Cazzies program is offered at the following locations:
• Mondays - Aubin Grove & Melville
• Tuesdays - South Lake
• Wednesdays - Leeming
• Thursdays - Beeliar & Nedlands (or Shenton Park from Thursday 24th May 2012)
• Friday - Melville & Canning Vale
• Saturdays - South Perth
Please see the 'Class Locations' page for further information.
We are planning to add more locations in Terms 3-4 2012. If you would like the Jazzie Cazzies program to be run in your local area, please send an email to info@jazziecazzies.com.au.
2. What time do the classes start?
All classes start at 9:30 am and run for 1 hour (except in Nedlands where the class starts at 11am and Shenton Park where the class starts at 10:30 am).
3. Do I have to enrol or can I just turn up and do a class?
You have 2 options:
i) Enrol and pay for the term in advance (and receive a 10% discount on entry fees)
ii) Purchase a casual pass at the door on the day of the class
Please note that in the event that classes become full, people who have enrolled for the term will be given priority placement.
You are welcome to enrol part way through the term. In this case, pro-rata term fees will be payable.
4. How much does it cost?
Classes are $15 per child.
Other children from the same immediate family can also join in for an additional $5 per class. Babies under 12 months of age are welcome to attend for free if accompanied by a paying sibling.
5. How do I enrol?
There are two ways to enrol:
i) You can complete the online booking form
ii) You can print, complete and post or email your Enrolment Form.
6. Can I bring other siblings?
Absolutely. Our classes have been designed with this in mind. There are very few activity programs available in Perth that happily accommodate children of different ages. So feel free to bring along all of your children under 5 years of age. A discount is available for subsequent children from the same immediate family who attend.
7. How many children are permitted in a class?
For the safety and enjoyment of both parents/carers and children, class numbers are capped at 23 children.
8. Do parents/caregivers need to participate?
Parental/caregiver involvement is highly encouraged but certainly not essential. If you would prefer to chat with a friend at the back of the room that is perfectly fine. But please do keep an eye on your child/children in case they are disrupting other children.
9. Is the program suitable for both boys and girls?
Absolutely! Music and movement are beneficial to children no matter what their gender. So we encourage both boys and girls to attend. Our classes normally have at least 30% boys.
10. What if my child doesn't want to follow the instructor?
No problems at all. Children are free to do whatever they like during the class (within reason obviously). However for the enjoyment and safety of other children, there is an expectation that if a child's behaviour is disruptive to others that the parent/caregiver will intervene.
11. What if I am unable to attend a class and I have enrolled for the term?
We understand that children get sick, and parents love to take holidays! Therefore, you are welcome to attend up to two 'make-up' classes on a different day or at another venue during the same term. Please contact us via phone or email to advise of your preference for which 'make-up' session to attend.
